That song was the reason I never checked them out properly until recently. Their two albums are really good, but that song is nails down the chalkboard bad.

Novelty is the one Joy Division song I don’t really like

Not a massive fan of Atrocity Exhibition myself. Can see what they were going for and it is certainly powerful but not something I would usually choose to listen to.

But yeah, amazing band and what a legacy of great songs given how relatively brief a period they were active for.

Best = Atmosphere.

They did write an incredible amount of great songs in a short space of time - but early days, I’m not that keen on the Ideal For Living songs. And then there is this: -

New Order didn’t write a bad song between 1980; and 1990.
