This is too harsh on american mustard. The thing is not to treat it like a mustard but like an alternative condiment for carbs. It’s more vinegar than mustard powder so it’s awesome on chips and onion rings.

Doesn’t belong in a sandwich though, obviously.

Preferred format

  • Whole square

  • Triangle cut (half)
  • Triangle cut (quarter)
  • Square cut (quarter)
  • Open
  • Baguette-like object
  • Roll (of regional preference)
  • Pulped and drunk as a smoothie

It depends. Hot sandwiches I’ll go for a rectangular half, cold fillings should be triangular.

Also certain fillings are good on baguettes, and others on crusty rolls. Far too many possible combinations to select a single option.

baguette type thing, but if I’m eating a sandwich with sliced bread, I want it served whole. Very rarely cut it into triangles, never squares.

Surely a falafel wrap is a wrap?
