Mission Impossible was fucking excellent. Best franchise going by a country mile. Some scenes were so thrilling I felt elation and euphoria in the cinema. Absolute madness.

For the first hour of Mission Impossible I was distracted by the sheer honking bollocks that constitutes the plot. But the action scenes are just so OTT and ridiculous that I just forgot to be irked. The Blackfriars stuff was good.

Yeah went to see this at the imax last night, so much fun.
The action scenes which are easily some
Of the best I’ve ever seen we’re so well shot.
The cast were all excellent as well.
Thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours :+1::grinning:

Watched edge of seventeen last night. Incredibly formulaic and predictable plot but also brilliantly acted, genuinely funny at points and touching at others. Decent film

Starman. A lot of people are disappointed that it doesn’t fit their idea of what a Carpenter film should be, but it’s still one of his best films.

I can’t wait for this but there’s no sign whatsoever that it’s been picked up for distribution over here. My guess is that it might not be till early 2019 (, or it might just go straight to streaming services?

It has only just come out in the US and done better than people expected, so maybe now it’ll attract some interest from UK distributors.

Fairly sure I saw a trailer for it in the cinema a couple months ago. That must mean it’s being released here right?

Yes I’m a fan of this film. A pleasant surprise. Also excellent chemistry between the three leads. Particularly Vikander and Hammer. Oh boy.

yeah I liked how it seemed like a genuine retro throwback, even down to Cavill’s delivery

Couldn’t find a thread for it - searched MIA and it brought this thread up because, I think, someone had posted about Mama Mia, but has anyone seen the MIA documentary?

I’m going to see it tomorrow - it looks really good. I’m not her biggest fan but watched the trailer and decided to give it a go.

Best to ask in the September thread
