I had my first ever panic attack whilst watching Climax. Obviously there were other factors at play but it certainly didnt help. 10/10.

Do not click this, manches-brute!! (not even going to @ you, mate)

Loved it. Very good film. Well done Ari, Florence, Will, and etc.
Must’ve been a right laugh to film I reckon.

Thought the sex scene was quite funny. Everyone in my screen was hooting with laughter and I went along with it tbh. Not sure if that was the intention though. Maybe it was? I think it should’ve been scarier and maybe a bit sexier? I dunno.
Maybe could have done without the thesis argument stuff too. Who cares! The whole academic premise gave the film a handy exposition faucet (and I suppose a lessening of the inevitable) but not sure we really needed it. Just chuck them all in this beautiful looking community and let them get on with it I say.
Poor bear. Bears are the best.

Poulter was very funny and good. He got credited with an “and” - well deserved I thought.
Pugh was absolutely top class as always.

Will be really fun to dissect this a bit more once I’ve slept on it.
I’d also be very interested in hearing someone’s opinion of it who hadn’t seen Hereditary. They share exactly… an awful lot of DNA (I counted).

I also got the biggest goose bumps from the final shot. YES! Nailed it.

Toy Story 4 - much better than I expected. Funny, touching and exciting in places.

Was this the first Pixar film without a short before the main feature?

Yup :disappointed:

Don’t think Coco had one either.

…oh bugger

That was Bao I think?

Bao was Incredibles 2 wasn’t it? I think Coco had a godawful Frozen short but only for the first couple of weeks it was out.

A real case of a director having a hit and then being indulged to a point where they hang themselves with their own rope. Probably at least three quarters of an hour too long, utterly nonsensical even in terms of the world of the film. Not so much a folk-horror as EVERY folk-horror trope thrown about with a hope that some of it would stick… Suspect that it was set in ‘Sweden’ because they can’t make films where brave Americans swan off to encounter brutal unknowable savages in a geographically uncertain ‘darkest Africa’ or ‘Up the Amazon’ anymore. So ‘just outside Stockholm’ has to do instead. The jumping off the cliff bit seemed to have been filmed on an old Star Trek set rather than the nice field they had for the weekend. On the plus side, it was defiantly queasy and the cast did well, especially Florence Pugh and cheap Chris Pratt. Disappointing over all though.
