All absolute belters so you can’t go wrong. But i’d go serpico just because his wardrobe is fucking outstanding throughout.

Very on-brand post, that however, will be something of a “mark down” for me…

don’t really fancy any of these tbh mate

Would watch

How come? Care to throw a wildcard out there and if its one I currently have ready to go I will overrule the poll and watch that instead

haha fair dos.
It’s also a brilliant film and Pacino is fucking great. One of my favourites.
That being said so is french connection and Hackman is outstanding in that.
Also love dog day.
Like i said you can’t go wrong with any of them. :+1:

no particular reason, just don’t fancy em.

today i was reading up about Rohmer and apparently in the 1975 film ‘Night Moves’ Gene Hackman’s character compares his films to watching paint dry so that’s my wild card for you.

Bah! “Night Moves” does not appear in my current folder of films to watch. WILDCARD ELIMINATED.

Yeah, great film innit. Wasn’t expecting it to be so comedic for the first third or so and the descent from that point is magnificently played by Pacino. I loved all the bank gals as well, they were a real hoot! Good stuff

The Kelly Reichardt film Night Moves is good too

Is it a remake? Hadnt heard of the 70s film til today but sounded good, added it to my list.

Nah theyre different. 70s one is a good neo noir, Reichardt one is a poor The East

Dog Day Afternoon appeared when I was flicking through channels one night when I was about 15. I knew absolutely nothing about it; didn’t even recognise its name. It blew my mind. The way it escalates is note perfect. Probably my favourite John Cazale performance too.
