Got tickets booked for these on the 23rd. The big Waterloo IMAX was pretty much sold out for the first 2 weekends for Op, so heading to the Science Museum one.

Netflix finally dropping They Cloned Tyrone on the same day is a proper wtf. Was originally out last Christmas and then held back for some reason.

The Deepest Breath on Netflix July 19th is another iv’e had in the watchlist.

We had this on our watchlist as well

Suuuuucks. The Walthamstow one was close to zip to after work and fairly cheap.

Yeah, apparently all the staff were told that they had been made redundant today, with two hours’ notice.

Really grim

It’ll never top the Napoleon in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure

Is that a breathy shit version of The National Anthem by R*******d on the trailer? Absolutely up for this film.

The wireframe animation in Escape from New York turns out to have been a full 3D model with reflective tape filmed and coloured

I guess of interest to the likes of @Lo-Pan @midnightpunk @UncleRetrospective etc.

Nu Se7en 4K upcoming…

Hopefully it won’t look have the smothered-in-mustard look that some of the blu-rays had

That’s a shame. I remember the SE DVD version he did that I ordered from the States (which I think thankfully arrived as a Region 2 unaltered) there was a whole bit about him colourfixing and adjusting the finalé specifically but the film in general. I guess it wouldn’t have been a good enough master for BluRay but you’d have thought it would have been a good enough guide for anyone else to do one.

Amused to discover there’s a whole film SFX group paralleling the, “vinyl/analogue is warmer,” records nerds who believe practical effects are always superior to CGI.

I watched this and cringed so hard I’ve sloughed my entire skin.
