Did not see this coming

Quite enjoying this spate of summer turkeys. Makes me nostalgic for the late 90s - mid 2000s.

Hellboy, Dark Phoenix and this all looked to be shite from the off didn’t they? No surprises here.

They should have made the Jump Street film.

John Wick aside. It’s been a terrible season for blockbusters. Over to you Spider -Man.

Reminds me that 1998 was probably the worst summer blockbuster year ever

What do summer 1998 and 2019 have in common?

Underrated Godzilla films

Aww. I wanted this to be good. I have a real soft spot for the original. I think MIB3 was a worthy reappearance. I think Hemsworth and Thompson are great, especially together.

What a shame.

If Godzilla King of the Monsters is the same quality as 1998 Godzilla it must be very bad indeed

MIB3 is really underrated, the emotional core of that film with Will Smith’s fathers packs a real punch.

Pretty poor on Metacritic so far

Good to see Empire giving it a time-tested 3 stars. Never change Empire.

I think the rejigged Choose Life bit was possibly the only thing I liked about it.

Saw Booksmart last night thought it was genuinely brilliant. I was kind of expecting something like an alternate version of Superbad but actually thought it was charming in quite an idiosyncratic way.

Thought it was interesting and kind of refreshing in a way that rather than the usual acrimony between different groups that seems to spring up in high school films, behind the bouts of ribbing the kids actually seemed to genuinely like each other.

I liked Booksmart, but I didn’t really buy the ‘there’s no bad guys in high school’ angle, I think Eighth Grade and Lady Bird had it right, some people in school are just awful

Oh yeah I don’t think it was that accurate I just like watching people getting along.

The film should have ended with this song clearly!

just found out the girl from booksmart is jonah hill’s sister

weird how people keep making shit films. you’d think it’d be just as much effort to make a good one, why not just do that instead
