Still not arsey…

Do you not think? Seems a bit passive aggressive to me!

Sounds dodgy to me, confirm it with your letting agent or landlord.

Much like you’ve found out about this late on, so could the tradesperson who is trying to sort their workload out for tomorrow…

The message prior to the ‘so’ was more a statement of why they need to come… the ‘so’ was just to clarify that they could do with confirmation…

Fair does, I read it a bit differently myself!

Do you guys reckon I should text them back to say awaiting confirmation from.landlord or leave it till I have heard from.them?

I could be completely wrong and they turn out to be a grumpy wanker :joy:

Are you in tomorrow?
Edit: I ask because if your not in then it’s up to your landlord anyway etc

Its you all along!! Ha

Nah im at work all day

Move out and burn your house down.

TONIGHT

Yeah Ill leave it. They just left another voicemail and there was silence except for some weird back ground music

Id probably lie and say that I will be at home but I work nights so I’m asleep
Therefore they know you’re there and they can’t just let themselves in if its some set up to steal shit?

Hmm maybe. My landlord knows I dont so if it is legit im a right liar haha. Might just ignoee it till tomorrow

It’s probably just your landlord being dopey, we had this exact thing recently, but the landlord gave us (minimal) heads up they’d be coming. Dude arrived at 8am on a Sunday when we were still asleep. But I now have a low res photo of a gas certificate our landlord emailed us so… winning?

Same thing happened to me. My wife and kids were murdered.

No that’s not right. Landlord forgot to tell us and it was legit

who cares, if your landlord questions it for some reason just tell him it looked dodgy af and you didnt want to get robbed so they should tell you about this stuff beforehand next time

Absolutely seems legit and just a person doing their job, however - you’d have been within your rights if you wanted to be petty to say you haven’t been given your 24 hour+ notice (is it actually 48 now?) and so they can’t just turn up.

Don’t think it was particularly arsey - maybe a bit short/curt but I think that’s more because it’s a text and they’re probably working on all sorts at the same time.
