Basically when I was renewing in October our current insurers were very slightly more expensive than a couple of other options. When we phoned them up they told us that after my 25th birthday (which was a couple of weeks ago) our premium would drop by £150 over the course of the rest of the year, making them slightly cheaper than any other quote we’ve had.
I just phoned up to sort this all out, and got told that premiums can’t be changed during the term of a policy, then this guy seemed a bit confused as to why I was irked, tried to explain to him what misselling is, then set up a formal complaint. Felt a bit bad having a go at a call centre worker but it’s the only way to get someone to deal with anything sometimes.
