The local paper in Manchester’s free in the city centre. My mate hands them out for a few hours as a second job. This week they’ve been giving away an apple with every copy, also free. Says virtually nobody will take the free fruit. Weird as fuck.

It feels like I’m the only one who cares to be honest. I was getting a glass of water, saw the bananas, gasped, said “that’s a lot of bananas”, and the other person in the kitchen just left the room silently.
I periodically refuse to eat bananas after I’ve come across one of those “killer Brazilian spider found hiding in Tesco bananas” articles in the Metro or something. It’s a shame because I really like bananas but this usually puts me off for a good few months.
