On course for an actual release date of 31st September

Uh oh - a few artists might need to move out of the way!

The engineer he’s worked on all his albums has quit.

This isn’t coming out

I was on the tube yesterday and saw what I assume is streaming of this.

There was someone lifting weights in a face covering seemingly in a cell or small room, whilst people in militia gear with DONDA on the back looked on.

Honestly, if I didn’t know about this release I would have assumed Black Mirror was now actually happening.

At least Kanye is surrounding himself with calm, stoic people which can only help his state of mind.

Hard to be anything else other than calm and stoic after a month spent living on a mattress in a stadium working around the clock on an album with a bipolar perfectionist

Willing to bet a lot of money the album comes out, allowing for the typical name, artwork and track list changes. With the possible exception of Yandhi (which originally didn’t exist) most of the Kanye albums that weren’t released were either completely fabricated or became a different release with the same material.

Still feeling optimistic about the amount of time it’s taking, rather than despairing over the fact we’re not getting a hard drive dump now. They saved Yeezus in far less time than this

Mike Dean would be a big loss so glad he hasn’t quit.

Lol. This is getting ridiculous. Lol

Would be thrilled to be proved wrong, but honestly chances are that the album rollout debacle is likely to be much more entertaining than the actual finished product, right?

At this point I welcome every ludicrous development. May it continue indefinitely. Hire a different stadium to record each individual instrument if you want!

Edit: maybe should have put “product released” rather than “finished product”

what did they have to do to Yeezus?

Lyrics in 10 days with Rick Rubin was the main thing if memory serves.

Someone I used to work with knows or is mates with someone who knows Evian Christ and the story he tells about Yeezus is in some respects unbelievable

Stripped back / re-did a lot of the production as well, according to the Wikipedia page.

I guess the difference is he actually had a deadline

Yeah, I’ve got next to no interest in the actual album but am absolutely loving all this bullshit.
