I do a complicated handshake with this lad so I also seem like an extremely cool person and not embarrassing at all (there was also one bit where I kept getting him to go up to adults and introduce himself as “the head of risk assessment with ABN-AMRO” but that was when he was about 10 I think)

ooh i tell you what id love to get a complicated handshake going with him. hes always been a fistbump kind of guy, i used to tell him to keep it gangsta which he found a lot funnier when he was 7

yeah when hes in a bad mood i tend to go over the top sarcastic about how nice it is to spend time with him when hes like this, that has a middling hit rate tbh
