Has an actor ever had a more sustained career without ever putting in a good performance?

Adam Sandler
(not dead)
Well he seems it half the time he’s on screen!
I watched the Clint Eastwood train film last night and the soldiers playing themselves do better acting than Pam from the office does. I get they’re playing themselves but they are really believable as soldiers on holiday in Europe
Woah
Never seen Nic Cage be good in anything but then I’ve only ever seen Con Air
bad acting is good too though imo
What a mean-spirited thread.
Cage hams it up, which is good in the right film but bad acting is just when they seem bored or unable to convey any emotion even though it’s clear their character should be emotional, IMO.
I think Cage is actually very dialled down in Con Air because his role is about being the straight guy to Malkovich and Cusack going full panto.
If you watch The Rock or Face Off he really gets to go full ham but it also is exactly what’s needed.
He’s great in lots of films. He can also be a bit of a wooden board in stuff like Dracula.
maybe they will be on over christmas!
Seems like a nice guy? Doesn’t he do loads of philanthropic stuff without crowing for media coverage?
Keen to Beeve, more like!
Oh you!

Not quite what you were asking but Ryan Reynolds’ talent to success differential yawns wider than the Grand Canyon
Nice man, shite actor, agreed.
Kunis and Kutcher are both proper rubbish, maybe that’s why they married each other
Mandy is my favourite “Nic Cage Going Full Nic Cage” movie.
Maybe if he was more of a twat he’d be a more engaging presence
