That casting lineup would probably have made that film a hell of a lot better.

Worth trawling though this. I think this is where I first saw Robert Cop III.

used to love the brands you’d see at my local market

TOMMY HILFINGER
etc

When I was a little kid, one of my friends had a load of knock-off Star Wars figures his mum had got from the market.

The design of them was decent, they all looked recognisably like the character they were meant to be, but they’d clearly had a load of green plastic they wanted to get rid of, so people would randomly have green heads or hands or whatever.

Used to go past this on the bus to work, literally just down the road from a massive Tesco. It’s changed its name now unfortunately.

didn’t they change it to a sainsbury’s design, which sainsbury’s didn’t have a problem with?

That was a Singhsburys that was renamed Morrisinghs :grinning:

Doesn’t taste of much. Just kind of vaguely reminds you of butter.

Your eye goes along, thinking standard superhero figures … OH.

Maccies must have got wind of these guys in Leeds as they are now called M.C. Noodle King

This is a knockoff Bailey’s you could get in Italian discount supermarkets (not my picture):

When I lived in London there was a poundshop on Bethnal Green Road that used to sell GALAXY EMPIRE figures

I had a whole bunch of them …and they weren’t Star Wars figure size - they were Action Man figure size

Saw this in Worthing the other day:

This extremely weird place used to be in Broadstairs:

I never ate there. It’s gone now, as is the Jesus mural.

I’ve only just spotted the blue Lightning McQueen. Shrek really draws you in.

Big fan of this hat, found in a Portuguese beach store (cropped to remove my very drunk, sunburned face)
