Know any good films where...

…the protagonist is a bit of a loner and spends evenings on their own in bars or in their flat just milling about and that?

Like Serpico, as an example.

They’re the best films.

Still Life

Has Eddie Marsan and Joanne Froggatt in, directed by Pasolini. Marsan plays very much a loner character, although I guess the film is more about his work life than his home life.

you can come round and watch me go about my day if you like?

This is only acceptable if you are in Durham or if he is testing his eyesight.

most films by Wong Kar Wai or Tsai Ming Liang

Yasujiro Ozu’s “An Autumn Afternoon” fits the bill as well.

Anything written by Paul Schraeder

Best film I’ve seen in years! Just Kylo Ren driving a bus and having his tea

“90 year old man”, “encroaching old age”

He’s 90, I think old age has well and truly encroached!
