“Scarlet Starmer”?

Not sure where to post this, here’ll do:

Just now I was horrified but amused to receive an invitation from a slightly fbpe friend to like The Lisbon Treaty on Facebook.

Then I was relieved that it was just a band called The Lisbon Treaty.

Then I was immediately horrified but amused again when I realised he’d called his new band The Lisbon Treaty.

quite unlucky, the labour party. get rid of a stalinist madman, and end up with a pedo.

Thank you for taking us on this journey, Smee.

A few people sharing that letter he sent after PMQs like it was a headshot to Boris.

Yeah, parliamentary pedantry, that’ll bring those tory voters round.

I dunno, the telegraph seems to love Starmer. And the standard. “He’s a lawyer! And a knight! He’s one of us!”

Yeah, my initial response to that is “fucking hell, who gives a fuck, there’s no judge to decide on the balance of probabilities who’s in the right here”… but a certain part of Twitter is absolutely lapping it up.

Doubt that actually translates to voters who aren’t extremely online, but I don’t know anything about anything.

Number 10 are saying he wasn’t pedantic enough to get Johnson - two can play that game I guess.

Ignore. Throw in the bin.

If there’s anything that political correspondents have learned in the past 4 years, it’s… No. Wait. Nothing.

They’ve learnt fucking nothing.

This is the most recent poll. Seems like things are slightly moving in the right direction at least? Most governing parties have had a boost in the polls since the crisis started.

I know there’s extenuating circumstances but the Tories having more than half the entire electorate is so wild to me. 10 years they’ve been in power, making things worse in every measurable way except amount of wealth they personally have. Doomed.

I wouldn’t read too much into any movement. Labour are still about where they were in Jan, Tories have squeezed the Lib Dems a little.
