Had it done a couple of years ago, been amazing so far.
Although it’s surprising how quickly you take having perfect vision for granted. After couple of days I didn’t really think about it much again.

Nice one KR. Sounds like I should give this a go. How bad was your vision before the op?

-5.75 and -6 I think. Quite poor vision. I had been wearing contacts for years, so the biggest benefit was just to be able to do away with all the faffing about with the lenses and although the surgery cost just under 3 grand, it will pay for itself in a number of years due to not buying contacts any more.

A lot of places offer a free initial consultation and check whether the surgery would be suitable for you, which could be a good idea if you’re thinking about it.

Music to my ears, thanks man.

I don’t really understand how vision acuity is measured so this doesn’t mean all that much to me I’m afraid. Will investigate.

i’m pretty meh about getting it done but it could potentially be vital in a post-apocalyptic scenario

you’d have to be buying a lot of contacts for that to be true, i would have thought glasses work out more expensive, especially if you’re prone to losing them.
