Should make it clear that I’m not shaking hands with them. They’re shaking hands with me.

Really? I get them every day. Maybe Scottish women are more like men.

Twice this morning and before I could say 'please really, no, you don’t * explodes into coughing fit as person removes and examines hand *

Did a round of 6 handshakes both at the start and close of a meeting on Thursday. Felt a bit much but it was all pleasant. Also shook someones hand at the darts on Friday. Less formal that occasion.

Maybe it’s just me then! I’m not professional enough

You know that scene in oceans 11 where Bernie Mac is negotiating for some vans and does a really hard crushing handshake to get a better deal from the guy? I was thinking the other day about how dumb that scene would be if it was anyone but Bernie Mac doing it.

Miss Bernie mac

About a hundred people, today in my new job. I remember none of their names.

1:25 PM today, with a sales person.

No business deal was sealed (yet).

Friday night, when I saw someone I knew at a gig. Handshaking seems to be a bit of a thing amongst people I know. Maybe it’s because you don’t have to worry about spilling your pint like you might if you go in for a hug.

It’s not just in work though. I had to go into the rugby club to collect something last weekend and lots of people shook my hand when saying hello. Probably an old-age related thing!

Saturday, with my own teammates before a hockey match as it was the first time that I’d seen them this year; immediately after a hockey match with the opposition, and then with a fair few people in the clubhouse afterwards.

About 50 people, probably, in total.

my taxi driver taking me to dublin airport this morning, great lad.

I work in an Arabic company and everyone is constantly shaking hands. It’s really weird.
They’re all so… friendly. People walking past my room will come in just to say hello and shake your hand. It’s odd…

Oh shit :slightly_frowning_face:
