12. Whipping Boy - Heartworm (1995)
This one is 50% brilliant album and 50% nostalgia injection. First heard at a pretty damn good period of my life it remains inextricably linked to that time. Combined with the fact that it’s also bloody brilliant earns it a place this high in my 100. Containing light hearted songs (eg. When We Were Young) alongside darker subjects such as domestic abuse (We Don’t Need Nobody Else) and mental illness (A Natural) this album trod a far more varied path than a lot of its peers. They deserved to be massive following this and start filling stadiums, instead it seemed to be largely ignored, such a shame. If you don’t know it do yourself a favour and get it in your ears!
