my pleasure, dude

there’s still loads I never really gave a proper go, or need to revisit. old Boomkat and Resident Advisor lists I pored over a bit, but didn’t fully investigate.

went through a phase of listening to lots of this sort of thing out on runs or just going here and there at night - defs night music, isn’t it

This LP is an underrated masterpiece imo.

oh, where were you when I put Qawwali into the music league and got about two points for it?

I am still very unsure what Music League is and I feel like it is too late to know…

(huge shout, can only assume everyone else involved is an idiot and a dickhead)

Always loved this. Sinister as fuck.

Qawwali is one of the greatest tunes ever. Still sounds so cutting edge, the production is incredible.

Most of what I’ve heard from 16-bit sounds like a chainsaw getting fucked by another chainsaw whilst both of them were on fire.

This little remix though…

More on a grime/ techno tip but love this ep

Yeah I should. I just lost more and more interest as time went on. Liked that tune ‘We Are You In The Future’ though

Woah been a while since I heard this. Think I used to listen to an mp3 of it on the bus. Mighty isn’t it

Not sure if the extent to which it fits in this thread but the second (or third?) Rustie album is almost a top 10 of all time for me. It’s totally unique, bangs, and was exactly what I needed in my life at the end of 2015

I’m always surprised no one copied Memories of The Future’s sound. It’s easy enough and its brilliant. Even Kode 9 never seemed to revisit it

Some great wobbly jams were picked up from Boomkat around this time.

Love The Bug. The album he put out with Dis Fig last year was brilliant.

My biggest corona cancelation was a night curated by him and his soundsystem featuring Moor Mother and supported by Dalek.

The Bug is honestly up there with Aphex for me.

That Elgato track is perfection. What happened to him i wonder?

isn’t it just?

last thing he released was in 2014. barely any info about him about, don’t even know his real name.

his other tunes were really nice and all.

Yeah i was going to post the one off the Hessle 116 compilation or whatever it was…
