Late evening thread

For @Witches

Normally I ask what’s for dinner but it’s a bit past dinner time, so what’s for breakfast tomorrow?

Breakfast tomorrow is going to be toast, made from the bread that is set to bake in the early hours (the breadmaker is set, like most Friday nights)

Aw thank you! I’ve had a bit of a full on week and just thought my brain wasn’t working properly

I can tell you what I had for dinner.

Chicken burger and chips! Hooray! A few cornichons on the side. Lovely. Got a vinho verde on the go, double lovely.

Oh sorry, breakfast too.

Going to have some scrambled eggs and bacon in a brioche bun. Got a tom hankering for it.

Also leading a guided walk round a nice birdy place tomorrow, and the weather is looking good. So that should be fun and good.

I should answer my own question

I eat the same thing for breakfast every day due to limited options
Porridge, brown sugar, spoonful of milled linseed (I started using this in the hopes that the omega 3s would cure my eczema, made absolutely no difference to my face but it’s a nice and nutritious addition to porridge)

Tomorrow I think we might go to the tip and the garden centre

What are you having for breakfast tomorrow froglet?

This is what I was about to post ^

The tip and garden centre are solid Saturday plans. If I could drive I would copy you.

You got a lot for the tip?

Our recycling only gets collected every 2 weeks, and having recently moved house we are drowning in cardboard, so I’m going to put the moving boxes in the garage to give away and the big boxes from furniture and stuff that we’ve ordered can go to the tip. But also we’ve got a couple of bits of old furniture at my partner’s flat that I think he wants to take to the tip at the weekend too, so we might do two trips. Also they sell reasonably priced compost there and I’ve got a lot of gardening to do.

Evening! Thinking about pancakes, I didn’t have any on Tuesday and have got the following pancake topping ingredients: the bonne maman chocolate spread which is the best one I’ve ever tried, strawberry jam, clotted cream, lemon, sugar and there’s a big fruit salad in the fridge so might nick some strawbs and mango from that. Not fasting atm due to gastroenteritis of all things so can enioy a slow breakfast as I haven’t been able to eat much these past 2 days (1 meal today only, genuinely less than if I was fasting)

Gws mellow

Our pancakes went wrong on Tuesday so we made more on Wednesday and had a bit of leftover batter, so I had pancakes 3 days in a row. I view pancakes as a means of shoveling golden syrup into my mouth

Ooh i haven’t had golden syrup in absolute ages. At least 7 years i think, when I made flapjacks. Might do the same as you and leave enough batter for repeat pancakes :pancakes:

Every time I make them I think these are so easy, why don’t I do them more often, and then I don’t have them until the following pancake day. Probably for the best given how much syrup I put on them

I’ve started making healthy ones recently! Helps make pancake making more regular imo, I use oats instead of flour and add some protein powder, they always turn out so good and I like adding frozen blueberries for some flavour and tiny bit of honey instead of sugar, they’re actually so good

Evening all!

Wor Lass made crispy tofu burgers and coleslaw for tea and it was really nice. The house smells of cooking oil now though.

I played football and now my legs hurt.

I’m probably going to have toast (not sure of the topping) for breakfast too. The Child has run out of things to put Nutella on at breakfast time and she’s bored of cereal so I’m going to defrost some pancakes/ drop scones for her to eat.
