Haven’t listened to the last couple of records but this is really good. I have maximum respect for them cultivating a hardcore fanbase and riding out any trends.

Seriously starting to think that Sicks Scenes proves this claim wrong. It’s fucking brilliant. Instant AOTY candidate, and will take something seriously good to knock it off the throne.

It’s one of those albums that has me excited at the prospect of listening to it, and as soon as it finishes, I just want to listen to it again. That kind of doesn’t come very often. Last one was probably Savages’ debut.

First album of theirs not to get ≥ 8.0, which is damned impressive if you care about these things.

Upon 10th or so playthrough - this really could be their best. Looking forward to the tour and hopefully this does wonderful things for the band.

Hung Empty is really fucking great. Can’t wait for them to play it live.

Tonight was great, a really good show. Some surprises in the setlist but as a whole it was a really good spread across their albums. Feels a bit strange/interesting to me because they’re one of the few bands from the 2006/2007 era that are still going and I keep up with. A very nostalgic rush, not that the music relies on the nostalgia. So yeah, good stuff!

Still don’t know whether @plasticniki likes this or even has listened to this yet

Does anyone know anthing about a spare for the gig tonight at the Koko?

Looks like there are some last minute tickets have been added on dice if you’re quick:

Managed to get one, but cheers :beers:

Did a 5 hour round trip to Birmingham last night because it was the only gig I was in the country for, good decision! New songs sounded great, they were the highlight of the gig for me, and it’s bloody mad how they can put out 6 albums in a row which are all full of amazing songs you look forward to seeing them play live. I never get tired of hearing them play the old ones, even though I must have seen them near enough 20 times now. Manchester gig for the next tour please! 3 years in a row I’ve traveled over hill and dale to see them, so it’s about time they came back. I will say that I was slightly disappointed that no crazy shit went down to commemorate the final night of the tour, like Neil doing a load of coke of somebody’s bare arse or summat like that.

They ate and recommended a curry as wild last show antics. Also gave me tinnitus that hasn’t gone yet.

Also, did they play an encore? It seemed to be going that way but I had to rush out for the last train (ie. to get to the station in time to see it disappear from the schedules)

They did! Fall Of Home, the mandatory one, and I Just Sighed. It was good, but if you’ve seen them before I wouldn’t kick yourself over missing it.

Ah I’d have loved to have seen Fall of Home! Whereabouts were you, by the way? I’m always curious about whether DiSers are at DiSish gigs. If you were near the front, I almost definitely saw you

Didn’t see them on this tour :weary:

Still only listened to the new record like twice :weary:

I don’t understand what’s happening to me :weary:
