The first singles from the last album were Drunk Girls and Pow Pow. These are literally miles better than those tracks. “Reliable”, “nice”, “by numbers”, some of you miserable gets are hard to please

“Reliable” wasn’t meant to be a negative in any way. More a comment on how consistently brilliant they are.

I’ll let you off the hook then, Ant

So they are this weeks musical guests on SNL - do you reckon they’ll perform other new tracks?

I thought Drunk Girls was great! Not such a big fan of Pow Pow though.

Listening to them now. I take back what I said upthread, these are great!!

Both sound really good. Call the police is pretty U2

Pow Pow is great. Drunk Girls not so much.

Did anyone keep listening to these after the excitement of new LCD Soundsystem wore off? There’s nothing much wrong with them, but they certainly haven’t set my world on fire.

Still listen to them - think Call the Police is decent/quite good but not their best. American Dream is :ok_hand:t2::ok_hand:t2::ok_hand:t2:

Love ‘American Dream’ and ‘Call The Police’ is growing on me.

They’re still really great m6. Two of my favourite tracks of the year. Grizzly Bear dropped at the same time though and some of the initial excitement with that has dropped off.

Agree. American Dream on course to be one of my very favourite LCD songs. The second verse is probably the most they’ve ever resonated with me lyrically.

Also doing a London show and have announced the album, American Dream, is out September 1

London venue?

Alexandra Palace - Friday 22nd September.
