Today’s final 250m looks… interesting :face_with_head_bandage:

Unless you mean injuries caused by sprinters, it a dead straight final km. A chicane before the flamme rouge could be interesting.

Just adding my voice to the blue and orange Cube debate. I LOVE IT. Wonder how many sales they’ve got from these Wanty breakaways.

I also don’t have the money but I’m definitely putting some orange bar tape on my blue Genesis.

Bora-Hansgrohe appealing to CAS about Sagan’s expulsion from the TdF. Apparently their lawyers are saying race jury didn’t follow UCI regulations

if their main objection is that the UCI didn’t follow protocol I can’t imagine them getting very far with this appeal

surely the UCI has some stipulation that says whatever they decide is final and they reserve the right to make up rules as they go along etc otherwise this could open a can of worms…

From that article, it seems as though, according to the B-H lawyers, the commisaires haven’t followed the UCI rules on this.

Yes it does open up a whole can of worms, but that’s for ASO and the UCI to deal with, not B-H

Only thing I can say is that lawyers and teams don’t do this sort of thing very often, so they must see something in it for them to lodge an appeal at CAS

I find it crazy that none of the riders were involved in the decision. I’ve not heard any of the Peloton who, after reviewing and reflecting on the incident, think that him being thrown out was the right decision.

Heard that it was only upgrade to expulsion after the Dimension Data team complained and demanded he be thrown out because the incident had ended Cavendishes tour. Essentially wanting an “Eye for an Eye”. Kind of awful from them if true.

why did they have to make a decision so quickly too?

Yep,. Roger Hammond and Doug Ryder were both interviewed by the cycling podcast and they pretty much said that.

Hammond then tweeted saying the TdF was poorer without Cav and Sagan. Slightly weird stance to take when you’ve publicly asked for the expulsion of a rider.

Cav was diplomatic about the ruling, but didn’t disagree with it.

cav and sagan were all BFFs 5eva on twitter earlier

And they will continue to be, but he was hardly outraged about the DQ of Sagan. Basically shrugged and said it was down to the UCI (he’s right obviously, but I’d have expected a bigger reaction from him)

They should reinstate Sagan, with the proviso that he has to catch up on the stages he’s missed first.

he’d still walk the green jersey

That was my thinking.
