Came in here to say about the Durian sweets we had here. Whole office smelt like a cross between the gas taps from school and raw onion whenever someone got tricked into eating one.

Same goes for egg custard tarts (pasteis de nata if you want to be oh-la-la about it) sooooooooooooooooooooo nice, possibly my favourite tart ever (apart from everybody’s mum). Although, I almost asphyxiated myself by accidentally inhaling a packet of cinnamon I got with them once.

Bought back various confectionery from Japan. All wackily named, all utterly atrocious.

I used to work for an American, and she used to bring in Hershey’s Kisses. They’re inedible.

When we had some Japanese visitors they brought some banana biscuits and wasabi KitKats. 10/10

Yeah, Hershey’s seems to be standard for anyone coming back from a trip to America, even though everyone acknowledges it’s repulsive.

Our last US trip person brought back an enormous bag of Reese’s peanut butter cups. They’re now my favourite person in the office.

(Still not sure what their name is though.)

I’m normally absolutely hateful towards Hershey’s but their white chocolate and cookie bar is pretty good. Was quite doubtful but really enjoyed it.

Incredibly, someone might have topped yesterday’s effort already: they’ve brought in half a melon and some tangerines.

Someone brought some coconut chew sweets from Vietnam, no one liked them because they didn’t taste of anything and covered in a film that may have been plastic but may have been part of the sweet that was difficult to remove, I was the only one who persevered with them, they kind of tasted of salt for the first minute but then became these great toffee type things, had my own personal supply for about a month. Have a real hankering for them now
