Any of you likely to be around near the train station between 5 and 7pm? I am going to be waiting around with my big suitcase (not a euphemism) and need to entertain myself so if you want to join me for a drink that would be cool.
I’ll be there at 7am tomorrow
Ships in the night
I am but on Friday. What’ve you been to Leeds for?
@TKC I’m here on my holiday visiting friends and that. We’ve got quite a few plans for Friday unfortunately!
Enjoy, it’s a great place!
I was genuinely near the station at 5 but didn’t see this!
Unless, reading this again you meant tomorrow?
Yes, tomorrow! Edited thread title to avoid confusion
i was last there 3 years ago

Ships in the night
I went on a night out in Leeds and my friend whose flat I was meant to be staying at locked me out, so I waited until 6am for the first bus back to Manchester, on a Sunday in December, 2008.
Like ships in the night.
I’ve never in my life set foot in Leeds.
Ships in the night.
I saw @TheBarbieMovie2023 on a train from Leeds (but was too scared to say anything and it was full of drunk people).
Ships in the day (but it was at night)
I should be free tomorrow!
Can I still make a ships in the night joke?
Presumably ships sometimes see each other at night…
Ship Inn tonight? (imagine its posted tomorrow)
Yes you can! I’ll allow it.
Would have loved to but I’ve just today gone to the proper north (Northumberland) for a camping trip
Chips in the neet!
Ha, that’s a great shout.
@TheBarbieMovie2023 The Ship Inn isn’t brilliant, would be mega impractical with a big suitcase and isn’t particularly near the station, but depending on your commitment to a joke…
(we’ll go somewhere better, dw)
Can’t believe no one has suggested going to Dry Dock, a pub that is literally shaped like a ship
