these are the best tomatoes imo

beefsteaks are similar. rule of thumb for me is - the bigger the 'mato, the tastier, and the more oddly shaped, the tastier too.

vine tomatoes can get in the bin. (not really, i like them too but not as much)

If you go to a market in spain or france or continental country of your choice, you see tomatoes that look like this and even more extreme like they’ve been pumped full of bovine growth hormones and gamma radiation and the uglier and more tumorous they look, the better they taste.
