- I know what “50p head” means and is referring to
- I do not know what “50p head” means and is referring to
Please don’t offer clues as to meanings in this thread
Oh, a sports thread
No, hopefully other people will post phrases or terms that are very specific to a certain thing and then we can find out about whether we know about them or not
“Widows and orphans” (not meaning women whose husbands have died, or children whose parents have died) “WOB”, “Rag-out”
Use “50p head” all the time. Along with “put some sauce on it” or “put some spice on it”
Thank you for your compliance and respect
crimpfest, up the arete then jugs to top out

I reckon Aphextwinx and Zorb will confirm it is. If either of them see this thread.
Definitely real though I might not choose to actually use the first word
Well, allow me to bore the shit out of you with this explanation:
crimps are really small holds, so a crimpfest just means you’re on really small holds for a while. Then arete is French for edge (some climbing lingo is French based, probably because of all the time UK climbers spend in Fontainebleau), so you use the edge in addition to the rock face, then jugs are big, lovely scooped holds and top out is the finish where you haul yourself over the top of the rock.
The most telling thing is that I subconsciously moved my hands into the positions whilst reading the original

Ahahaha, what if I say high heel hook? Can I make you dance?
More people should be posting their phrases imho.
