I find white a bit more consistent than red - might just be the price range and variety Iā€™m buying but I canā€™t remember a poor white wine Iā€™ve bought in the last five years or so. Theyā€™ve all been 7/10 or so whereas the reds have ranged 4-10/10.

Cheap white wine and Tizer was a Wizer and mixed with Irn Bru was Wine Bru. These were my brotherā€™s drinks because he disgusts me.

The tannins which give red wine its depth of taste also cause hangovers/ headaches.

The Hebrew word ā€˜tanninā€™ means ā€˜dragonā€™ (according to some bullshit Seventh Day Evangelist video about dinosaurs I watched) so your hangover is caused by dragons.

Occasionally i like to fill a big wine glass to the top. I know why it shouldnā€™t be done, and I wonā€™t drink it any faster than I would if Iā€™d spaced it out to 2-3 glasses, I just enjoy the heft.

Alcohol gives you headaches / hangovers. Yea is also full tannins but doesnā€™t mess you up (unless you react badly to tannins which is possible)

Used to drink loads of wine - difficult with kids and a propensity towards hangovers that feel like Satan has pissed directly into my cerebro-spinal fluid.

When I do still manage a drink though: riocha 'til I die (or at least until Iā€™m in the mood for a Shiraz / malbec instead)

Did have a bottle of 19 Crimes (Australian blended, I think) a couple of weeks ago which slipped down beautifully.

Wish I had wine now. But itā€™s raining and Iā€™m already in my pyjamas.
