The tannins which give red wine its depth of taste also cause hangovers/ headaches.

The Hebrew word ‘tannin’ means ‘dragon’ (according to some bullshit Seventh Day Evangelist video about dinosaurs I watched) so your hangover is caused by dragons.

Occasionally i like to fill a big wine glass to the top. I know why it shouldn’t be done, and I won’t drink it any faster than I would if I’d spaced it out to 2-3 glasses, I just enjoy the heft.

Alcohol gives you headaches / hangovers. Yea is also full tannins but doesn’t mess you up (unless you react badly to tannins which is possible)

Used to drink loads of wine - difficult with kids and a propensity towards hangovers that feel like Satan has pissed directly into my cerebro-spinal fluid.

When I do still manage a drink though: riocha 'til I die (or at least until I’m in the mood for a Shiraz / malbec instead)

Did have a bottle of 19 Crimes (Australian blended, I think) a couple of weeks ago which slipped down beautifully.

Wish I had wine now. But it’s raining and I’m already in my pyjamas.

i’d really like to do a wine tasting experience so i could work out what wine i actually like so i can explore it further. but i can’t help but feel that wine tasting is not very me

i mean, i would rather nail 10 cans of fosters in the park than drink wanker beer in a posh pub, and i’m not gonna become a different person just so i can enjoy wine too

On a similar tip, this Netflix doc about wine fraud is very entertaining:

The only downside is that one of the “heroes” of the film is Bill Koch, one of the few people rich enough to risk crashing the value of his collection by trying to expose the fraud.
