yeah it is difficult. I still like the simpsons though, think it is roughly equivalent, maybe a bit worse as being made up to be a different ethnicity is worse than just doing the voice. weird as the character didn’t really need to be indian, a lot of the humour comes out of his fish out of water not understanding social norms (mirroring johnny 5), but really in the film it seems more like it is because he is socially inept rather than the cultural confusion of being an immigrant, maybe that’s why this film resonated with me as a kid. really loved this film when I was younger, johnny 5 being beaten up is more upsetting than anything else i’ve seen. really surprised it is getting such a deluxe blu-ray release though, I mean I want an 80 page book on short circuit 2 but cant imagine many others do
