I’ve been watching The Adam and Joe show for the first time recently and I’m charmed by its skewering of 90’s culture: looking through people’s records, taking the piss out of magazines, TV shows, etc.
Nowadays it seems like the majority of inventive and funny counter-cultural writing lives on social media. Do you reckon this sort of more general, lighthearted satire could be seen of telly today, with all our echo chambers and Twitter cynicism?
Any recommendations of shows or other writing that pokes fun at our bloody ruddy mad old world?
