This track :sob::heart_eyes:

It was recorded in the dark. Give it a go in the dark. Ideally through a bassy system or with over ear headphones.

Alternatively on a night drive.

Clicked with me the first time I heard it. One of my Top 100, for sure.

I nicked it out my dad’s CD collection because he briefly compared it to what Radiohead had done with Kid A on a family holiday and then I spent the rest of the week not shutting up with questions about Talk Talk

I was not disappointed when i finally listened to it

Love Laughing Stock but I actually find it a bit terrifying. Spirit of Eden is uplifting- Laughing Stock is still beautiful but it can be a bit too much for me sometimes. Myrrhman for instance- incredibly dark track.

Not sure I bothered to listen to it when @JohnM put it up

but it beat all the others.

Just listened through twice and I still don’t really have an opinion. It’s nice but that’s it.

Had it urged on me a long time ago by a fellow at my first job. For a long time I didn’t listen to the copy he gave me because I thought it would be prog (did not know anything about Talk Talk or that period in music really). When I finally did listen I felt like such a fool. Great album.

Edit: Also I do not quite remember how but Talk Talk led me to Earth, a band I fell in love with immediately so it also has that going for it. Think it was the whole post-rock vibe it got me into.

Same. Does nothing for me. If it doesn’t click, it doesn’t click. Whatever.

I think i slightly prefer the Mark Hollis solo album more than the Talk Talk albums
