again, went there fairly recently and I remember the food being much better 4 or 5 years ago (last time I went).

still good though!

Yeah, I don’t think i’ll ever warm to Peckham. View permanently tainted by jungle nights at Lazerdrome in the 90s.

Albeit shit holes with amazing housing stock.

Oh no! It’s been quite a few years since I went, but it was great then.

The are some fantastic houses around Park Hill/Sandilands/Park Hill, some great period properties.

Last one should be Lloyd Park.

Some, but not nearly as many as places like Peckham or Balham though.

see also, Champion

that place made me threw up when I went because there’s an ingredient (or additive?) some curry houses use which I haven’t worked out yet. Still a cracking meal tho

you should have put the top picture last, but otherwise this is making me pine for my old home :frowning:

So the flats we saw last night were awful, absolutely terrible. Can see why they didn’t put (m)any photos up on the listing. Shame, as the area seems great while we were wandering round. Waiting to hear back about one or two others south of the river for viewings later in the week.

Got a couple of viewings in Walthamstow today and tomorrow. Some really nice stuff in our budget in those parts, might even stretch to a three bed. Feels like there must be a catch.

fyi, here’s our flat

unsure if our landlord (who’s lovely btw) is going to do anything in between us leaving / someone new coming in, but according to the date on the zoopla listing it seems unlikely:

Oh great, cheers! That looks really nice, equal sized bedrooms by the looks of things too? No fees a bonus too. Had many viewings yet?

it is – there’s no picture of the kitchen (was refurbished before we moved in, absolutely shedloads of cupboard space, new oven / hob / fridge-freezer and washing machine) and those photos also show the smaller room before it was re-done. it’s a very nice flat (if a bit cold in winter). no viewings yet, and yeah, no fees, just 1.5 months’ deposit and possibly £20 or something for the referencing. both bedrooms are largish – we’ve got double beds and double wardrobes in both of them!

Any pictures of the kitchen? Also big fan of the collapsed chair in the corner of the garden pic :+1:

Can confirm that chair’s no longer there

Ah you’ve answered the kitchen Q as I typed ha! Yeah it looks really great, will check with the others and see what they think as it’s very much what we’re looking for at the moment.

there’s enough room in the lounge for a small dining table as well

will be well sad to leave this flat – the landlord is very decent (tbh we’ve had no issues with the flat at all, the only time we’ve ever needed him urgently was when we got locked out due to our own stupidity, and he sorted the problem out immediately) and our neighbours are fine. the only disturbances you’ll have are foxes shagging outside. there’s also a storage cupboard for each flat in the basement, and as you can imagine, no one ever uses the communal garden really.

Who will move in to their new abode first? @suapth or @plasticniki - there’s only one way to find out…
