Think we’ve got remarkably lucky, we swooped in with the first viewing and took it right away!

It’s the absolute upper limit of our budget but as it’s been lived in by the landlord it’s well looked after rather than shitty fixtures and furniture everywhere.

There are quite a few flat conversions and warner-style flats in Walthamstow that aren’t actually ones that were built by the family, but which estate agents will claim were.

Warner flats always had a reputation for being a cut above similar properties in terms of build quality and size (and tenant - they were priced above the level of other places).

In another Warner Warner Warner etc

Well not really but surely everyone will appreciate this on a Friday afternoon.

Cool. Looks nice. There are houses / flats at the end of my street that look very similar, with the arch over two front doors things. Wonder if they’re related:

I see - that might explain it. We definitely looked at one on Markhouse Road which was probably the worst flat we looked at. Awful.

Aye. Still makes me seethe that a decent flat in that area (practically Zone 4) costs £1,400 a month but that’s London for you.

There’s actually an exhibition on the estate at the Vestry House museum until May:

D’you know, my wife might actually be interested in seeing that. Thanks!

I appreciate that!

Nice one. It’s good round there. Went to that Wildcard Brewery for some beers a while back. Was nice.

You’ve also got Mother’s Ruin and God’s Own Junkyard in the same row as well.
