London As A Tourist

This thread may have been done already, but London gets talked about so much that it’s impossible to tell from searches.

If you were a tourist visiting the city of London, and you were into arty stuff, what would you go see? Leake Street tunnel? Other things? Still gutted the Shunt Vaults aren’t there any more.

This thread was inspired by an amazing alert I just got on my mobile.

Thanks Google, thoogle.

It’s good to get all there tropes out of our systems early, therapeutic

Go to a station and buy a one day travelcard

Go get absolutely fucking smashed in bermondsey on a Saturday morning and then end up in bed by 7pm ruining the whole weekend is what usually do

Combine it with White Cube on Bermondsey Street for a dash of arty culture and boom! All bases covered.

As a serious answer, as less obvious but still very accessible spots, I like the Design Museum, the Building Centre and the House of Illustration.

That neon sign shop

The worst thing was the alert made me thing I might take a trip on the London Eye.

I’ve been once whenever it opened, 2000?

Surely it’s loads better now.
