Since about 2013 I’ve been wanting a job that does not involve a commute. Realised the goal earlier this year by setting up as a sole trader, working entirely from home.

Getting a dog (about 10 years coming)

Main long term goal - have a beard my mum can be proud of hating. Done.

Others;
Buy a house - getting there, slowly
Get under 180lbs again - getting there, slowly. Hit 188lbs last week, then ate time hortons all weekend. meh.

Reduced my commute to a twenty five minute walk last year (one of the main reasons I applied for this job), reduced that to a four minute walk this year. Has made my life immeasurably better.

If someone appeared in front of you ten years ago and told you you’d end up running a ballet school…

How did you achieve this, just keep trying ?

Our TV has that feature built in. Haven’t turned it on in ages.

Mine will be well used, I’m something of a colour changing light enthusiast

This is what I got https://www.dreamscreentv.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2q_p29u13AIVDrftCh0H4AjAEAAYASAAEgKjkvD_BwE

Looked into making one with a raspberry pi but the cost of parts adds up to nearly the same price.

It also has a music visualiser mode and ambient modes (fireplace, ocean, enchanted forest)

Gonna finally get to work on a lo-fi bedroom EP (maybe album?) soon to meet a similar ambition just to have some kind of recorded music to my name.

Don’t feel up to band/live stuff these days, too much strain on a dodgy wrist. Always had sort of mixed feelings around it all when I played in bands when I was younger anyway, a mixture of being fun and being a chore.

Prizes for the Regionals are way better than a mouse mat, eh?

Basically I was told about a year ago to never go down on your knees or do “lady press ups”. It’s more beneficial to just do little pulses in a normal press up position and then over time it just builds up until you can do full ones. If you go on your knees, it’s pretty much pointless and you won’t progress.

I’ve been in gym classes where someone’s come up to me and gone “you can go on your knees if you want” and I’m like NO THANKS.

I posted a vid of me doing it on Instagram cause I’m That Person but also so proud of myself so whateverrrrrr

having never had any visual art ability or interest really since I was a child, learnt last year that I can create art with the help of computers! Really surprised that I was capable of learning or doing something different at the age of 30

Want to cut using plastic out of my life, moving to my own flat with loads of room (so I can make more stuff oatmilk, bread, houmous) and near a couple of almost zero waste minimarkets. So I think it will work soon.

i can’t do press ups (literally not a single one) and want to be able to do press ups. this sounds like useful advice, thanks

Desperately wanted to move back to Cornwall by 30. Managed it at 25.
