Longer threads have become a chore to scroll on iOS?

Might just be me, but scrolling (particularly longer) threads on iOS has become very jittery. The screen will keep jumping around different posts and points in threads, particularly those with a lot of links and content. Have never had this issue before with DiS, and seems fine on desktop browsers.

I use Firefox fwiw, might try changing browsers

A chore on every OS for me!!!

In all seriousness though, it’s the Twitter plugin we use that does this for me (I think).

Rendering all those Twitter links causes loads of jumping around and takes the thread ages to load.

Yeah Twitter is the reason. The render thing is completely fucked. It’s why I tend to screengrab if it’s not a video

Yeah, that’d work. Obviously the less traffic diverted to Musk the better too (have seen communities on reddit move away from sharing twitter links at all, and only use screenshots)

The thing is, the links are also useful. I think if they’re not followed by a carriage return that’s better so you get screengrab and ability to follow up.

Actually I wonder if there’s a plug in that could auto reformat them as XCancel

Could turn off the Twitter embeds and see if things improve. Might not go down well with other peeps though.

Aye, might be causing more problems than it solves. No worries
