Longest film you've ever watched

Initially inspired by a conversation with a colleague regarding the bloated, Oscar nominated Killers of The Flower Moon (seriously, Scorsese, hire a better Editor), what is the longest film you’ve ever watched?

The longest film I’ve ever seen is Fanny and Alexander, which clocks in at 5 hours 12 minutes. However, when I was in Jerusalem I went to an Andy Warhol retrospect at an art gallery that screened the 8 hour Empire, but I could only stomach an hour of that.

Longest film you’ve ever sat through?

Someone is going to do a sarky answer about a popular film they hated feeling like the longest film ever.

The Irishman, I think

According to my Letterboxd stats it’s Lagaan.

Probably Cloud Atlas, though I’d make an argument that Get Back is really one long eight hour film.

Think it’s Once Upon A Time In America for me, clocking in at a whopping 4hrs 11mins.

I can’t remember much about it beyond De Niro huffing opium at some point… is there kids playing stickball in it? Anyway, can’t remember whether I did it in one sitting or not.

Thanks for your time.

Watched in 1 sitting on a lockdown bank holiday.

Love Exposure, at 3 hours 57. Apparently it was meant to be 6 hours, but the producers strangely asked for the film to be shortened.

Satantango, load of shite

Or Shoah if that counts. That’s good

Satantango, masterpiece
