I’ve always been kind of grossed out by those things.

I loathe them. I think it’s because they flap around unpredictably, getting all over the place, and they’re so fragile that if they touch anything bits fall off them so if there are a lot of them around and you’re not careful you find stray insect limbs all over the floor.

Obviously they’re nowhere near as bad as wasps but at least with wasps you can get some idea of where they’re trying to get to and they don’t drop legs and wings all over the place

He was quite a big unit but I was also really very close as he was at eye level on a hanging plant and didn’t care/notice that I was practically nudging him with my phone camera.
