I’m sat here wondering how many bogies there was in the sink. I really don’t think it would’ve been enough to warrant a note, irrespective of how grim it is anyway.

I’ve got a theory on signs, wanna hear it?

They have the opposite effect.

So I used to live in West London and the street I’m on had more “no fly tipping” signs than I’ve ever encountered in my life.

The street also had more instances of fly tipping than I’ve ever encountered in my life.

Now some of you will say “That’s why they put the signs there” but even if that was the case initially, I reckon that’s bollocks.

I reckon it happened once or twice, then the signs went up, then everyone in the neighbourhood was like “Fly tipping? Gosh, haven’t done that in years! Well… Why the bloody hell not!” before throwing a sofa out of their window.

Saw some plants at an airport once (Luton maybe?) which had signs on them saying “Do not eat the plants”. Would never have considered eating them, but seeing that sign gave me an almost overwhelming urge to do so.

In short, I think you’ve got a point.

Wouldn’t get signs like that in the inferior airport known as Stanstead.
