Or maybe it won’t happen like that Hall of Mirrors band.
Verses sound like every Abba song rolled into one. Not necessarily a bad thing.
Yeah, kinda like
Both fine imo.
Agreed
Will be seeing them at The Great Escape next month, looking forward to it! I had to search YouTube to find out what they sounded like as they weren’t on Spotify yet. Glad that future generations have been saved that extra hard bit of work.
Sound of the summer
I’ve certainly listened to it.
Ta, my badly worded message meant to say that when I was searching the other week (to see what the great escape bands sounded like) then they weren’t on Spotify - I kept getting dinner party playlists as my results instead, which was less helpful!
Savages for people with TikTok accounts
“channelling the melodrama of Queen”
If there ever was a way a band could be more loved by DiS
They sound fine, must be great to just happen to support a band like The Rolling Stones before you’ve released a song, nice to hear these organic stories about bands like that.
I mean it’s literally fine, and frankly I’m happy for any band to do well somewhat on their own terms, which it… sounds like they have?
Anyone seen them live, then?
Not bad, 7/10.
Video’s good fun - I believe over lockdown they watched a lot of Bridgerton.
Didn’t we all. Ahhh Simon. You stupid, stupid twat.
It’s interesting to see this sort of full force press assault in action.
They were on Lamacq’s 6music show last night and appear to be in every major UK music site today:
There’s no shade here btw it’s exactly what major labels do, just find it weirdly fascinating to watch and have a feeling they’ll be inescapable within a few months.
Oh for sure, and tbh it’s probably really good A&R work by the label to make sure that they’re ready for it/have a full album - also they sound quite good, so
Reminds me more of The Vaccines than anyone else, though I’m sure it’s also the same as loads of bands on major labels.
Just bought tickets to see them live, fuck it why not
