I was going to say YLT but couldn’t land on a specific album

Maybe the new one even tbh

I think it is their best record. I have lots of other ones. And it’s the best by a long long way

The Flaming Lips released The Soft Bulletin sixteen years into their career and Embryonic twenty six years in.

Not a band, but a solo artist:

Miles Davis - Bitches Brew

Released in 1970, 19 years after his debut record.

I wouldn’t say it was NIN’s best work, but I thought ‘Bad Witch’ was the best thing Trent had done in quite some time when it came out last year. Very strong for an album (EP?) almost 20 years after a debut.

Yeah, as much as I can’t listen to them now (outside of a couple jarboe heavy tracks like volcano) The Seer is one for me

The main pedal used for it is the Avalanche Run I think, but I guess he combines it with something else

That setlist looks incredible. Weird they seem to have dropped the Double Negative theme but a great choice of tracks - Long Way Around The Way especially!

Shame they seem to have stopped playing Tempest though - was my favourite reworking I saw live.

When I Go Deaf! Lovely

The set list on Setlist.FM has a discrepancy. They did Lazy, not Long Way Round The Sea.
Was pleased with mix of new to old tracks as the tv wasn’t sold on Double Negative, but is revising her opinion based on what she heard last night

Absolutely immense.

I can never accurately describe just how completely floored I was that they played ‘Murderer’ at the Barbican gig. Not just my all-time favourite Low song (and my favourite version of it too), but also just one of my all-time favourite songs, full stop.

I think I had something in my eye…

Love Murderer and the rest of Drums & Guns, as long as I’m not listening on headphones

My favourite version of Murderer is from the rare EP they put a couple of years before. It’s a bit more straightforwardly ‘Low-ish’ than the (also great) D&G version, and the one they played live sounded like that. Beautifully devastating.

But agreed. I can only listen to D&G in mono, otherwise it does my bloody head in.

shame as it’s one their best albums aside from the annoying vocal panning imo

never heard that early Murderer but just found it on youtube i think
