Oh fuck yeah

Embra!

Also damn, the boygenius effect. Biggest non arena/stadium venue in the land. Good for her!

The initial “fucking Embra” response of the Glaswegian is immediately tempered by the gig being the same night Japanese Breakfast is playing in Glasgow, so I can’t go anyway.

Argh! Fuck what a bad clash

Any other Monday of the year I’d be right there

In the unlikely event she adds a second night I’m there (sorry to my cats to leave them alone again so soon after Glastonbury)

Ahh ffs!

I swear to god she’s just attempted to kill me with this

Literally shift it by one day, this must eat into each others fanbases so much!

I’m tempering the disappointment by rationalising that I’ve seen Lucy Dacus solo and in Boygenius, while I’ve never seen Japanese Breakfast before. It does seem like there would be a lot of people interested in both shows though.

yeah I liked JB a good deal more but seen her twice, and Lucy only once (but also more recently than I’ve seen JB, and the effort/cost savings of a properly local gig …)

dilemna!

Lovely tune this, feels like a big step up in terms of production (both song and video), deserved ofc but glad to see she’s getting more resources.
Naomi from Muna winning the arm wrestle, because ofc :muscle:

A Glasgow date on the 1st of July has been announced (cc @GoldFlakePaint) so that sorts out JB clashes!

Best single of the lot imho, a more understated vocal composition but the lyrics and overall later Elliott Smith feel is a winner.

Also I think that’s a whistle at 1:20? @hesastopsiiiiign
