He doesn’t sound like a posh prick. British actors with identifiably region specific accents get a pass from me.
Kathy Burke?
When I think of Ray acting (not bug heading) I always picture him talking while eating an apple. Maybe he did it in one of those Mr Ripley films that isn’t the Talented Mr Ripley.
Again, she gets a pass
What’s that thing about how Brad Pitt is always eating an apple in every scene of every film he’s in or something?
Timothy Spall?
Lot of Ray Winstone chat today.
Does he do that? Is that an authenticity thing? I’m so fucking good I can act through an apple.
It can go either way with Spall
I think it’s probably about “I don’t know what to do with my hands” being a common thing that is difficult about acting and so if you just go “fuck it, I’ll eat an apple while I act” it’s easy to tie up your hands with something else.
He is far from a posh prick though.
He called his son Rafe - he’s turned!
Yeah, that’s true. Sometimes I say things that are a little on the incorrect side.
Nothing posh about that, it’s a character from a 17th century play.
How come you know so much about stuff Hoogs?
Timothy Spall goes to the same hairdresser as me.
And this hairdresser told you about 17th century plays with a person called Rafe in them?
Hoogs is pure class and goes to a high-brow hairdresser.
Sounds like quite a posh thing to do. (did you read it in Hello!)
We all know how classy Hoogy is mate. That’s not to say that we shouldn’t continue to go on about it, just saying that his class is obvious to us all.
