Major Government reshuffle

A few major headlines:

*Former Communities and Local Govt Secretary Carl Sergeant fired over (unspecified) allegations
*Jane Hutt leaves the government after 18 years. She was the longest serving cabinet minister in the UK
*Former Plaid leader and now Independent AM Lord Elis-Thomas made a junior minister.

Here’s an arcane constitutional question for you: two of the new ministers (Elis-Thomas and Baroness Morgan) are members of the House of Lords. Will they still be able to retain their positions as backbench opposition members in the Lords whilst being Government Ministers elsewhere?

Would have thought so - different level of government and suchlike. Whether they’ll have the time to do it properly on the other hand…
