One for Idlewild. Keeping it under an hour was easy, keeping it to under 12 tracks/resisting the urge to just bang 100 Broken Windows into a playlist less so. Would have liked a bit more of a spread from different albums, as I feel some of their later stuff is unfairly maligned, but difficult to not go heavy on the earlier stuff when you’ve only got 12 tracks to play with.

Captain isn’t on Spotify, otherwise obviously ditch one of the songs on there for that.

Did mull over Owl With Knees, but figured Cello Song violated @ericVI’s ‘no b-sides’ rule…

I’d have maybe made room for Readers and Writers from Post Electric Blues, I swear that would have been a pretty solid hit if they’d released it when they were at all relevant. Also perfect closing song, it couldn’t be anything else really could it.

decent crack that, bit heavy on the later stuff for me but think i pretty much like everything on there

This was really hard, particularly picking the track list order.

Ah yeah, i guess comp tracks are basically b sides. Basically impossible to cut anything out of lost and safe anyway tbf.

I’ve had a go at my own Idlewild playlist. Only two songs post Remote Part (which is generous).

Such a top album. Wish Woomble and co would do more tracks from it live rather than their latter stuff.

Still can’t figure out how to link to playlists on Deezer. Anyway…

6 tracks, 1hr on the nose

That was brutal, and possibly their best album is missing from spotify as well. Fffff.

Saw them in Glasgow just before Christmas for the Remote Part shows and they got Bob out for an “old” section in one of the encores. Was bloody great.

I could have easily gone for no post-Remote Part stuff on mine, just wanted to challenge myself!

Hard. Closer to what the record company would want that what I would want to put on it, I guess.
