Never occured to me that you would make the different coloured sponges separately

I highly approve of this thread. I LOVE a Battenberg cake.

Strangely enough, I have never made one. Always seemed like a lot of effort. Really like mr Kipling mini battenbergs.

I look forward to seeing the end result.
