I think if people want to talk they can just join, so making the social board members only is good and leaving the music one open

One thing this has changed it you no longer get good reply badges etc for posts getting likes on any of the private boards. Not sure how important that is to anyone.

Are Sports/Film & TV/Entertainment being made private as well?
(only mentioning because a post above says the plan was to make all except Music private but they’re still public)

There’s some discussion about badges and private boards here:
The tl;dr is that there’s no built-in facility for this, but it’s possible if someone’s willing & able to do some custom code.
