Have you seen Roman J Israel on Netflix?

I haven’t, that was one I was hoping to see in the cinema but it just never seemed to actually come out over here.

Worth watching? I heard it was a kind of worth-it-for-the-performance-alone sort of thing?

feel like the first one of these only came out last year

why the fuck is margot robbie in it. what is she doing.

She’s doing about half an hour’s worth of voice work. The Peter Rabbit franchise is Australian so she probably doesn’t need to leave the house.

I would say, “yes”.

(very mild spoiler) though it does get a bit ‘plotty’ near the end and it probably didn’t need to if I’m honest

It is true that Denzel Washington, Colin Farrell and Carmen Ejogo are all excellent which is nice. It also has the elements of a procedural law drama which we both enjoy

Well there was that rather tone deaf allergy joke in the first film so who knows…

what is it called pls

Oh, sorry

It is called “Remember Me”

seen the lighthouse described as horror but it’s not scary or horrory at all. is the witch similar or is it actually horror?

(if it’s scary then I won’t watch it)

not scary. if you liked the lighthouse you’ll like the witch.

The Witch is more horror but again not really. Its more the tone and the atmosphere rather than what actually happens on screen

Plus the lead is Finchy from the Office, bloody good peasant

it has a fairly similar atmosphere/feeling, but with someone accused of being a witch instead of people in a lighthouse

I would probably call both of them horror though if forced (think the only other genres lighthouse would fit into are basically euphemisms for horror)
